Jill Machuca

Varsity & JV Cheerleading Coach

Jill, in her third year at NDHS, brings more than 18 years’ experience as a head coach. She began figure skating at age 4, which led to dance classes until she reached high school. There, cheer became her passion. After college cheer, Jill began coaching at age 21. While teaching at her high school alma mater, she took on coaching all 3 levels of cheer, song and mascots. Jill has run the cheer & song programs at 3 local high schools, but hopes her stop at ND is a long one! Jill currently works full-time at UCLA in the Athletics Department as Assistant to the Athletic Director. She's excited to coach Varsity Cheer for the second year, coming off a second place at USA Nationals last year. Jill lives in Burbank with her 2 sons, Matthew age 11 and J.T., a JV football player here at Notre Dame.

Kelly Hare

JV Songleading

Kelly is excited to be coaching her 2nd year of JV Song after taking 1st at USA Regionals Championships and 3rd at USA Nationals last year. Kelly danced and cheered as a girl and has stayed involved with both through the years. She was a ND cheer mom, where her daughter was a 4 year All Star and MVP of Varsity Song. During this time she saw the commitment, hard work and dedication that goes into this amazing program. Kelly was an actor and singer for many years but now enjoys helping actors get the part. She is a Casting Director/Associate and a private acting coach, with series regular clients. Her knowledge in casting and coaching actors transfers into creating exciting and precise routines for her team. Go Knights!
