The 60-year reunion of the Class of 1952 kicked off a very full 2012 reunion season.  It was held in late June on campus with about 30 people in attendance.  The group was treated to a presidential tour by Brett Lowart before the catered dinner in the Activity Center.  These proud gentlemen had a great time renewing old acquaintances and seeing their alma mater at its finest!

The Class of ’57 had so much fun five years ago at their 50th that they decided to do it all over again for Number 55!  Many thanks to Dennis Borowsky for spearheading this reunion and being on board every step of the way.  The reunion was held on September 22 on campus and “Class of ‘57” 55-Year Reunion” sweatshirts were ordered to commemorate the special occasion.

The men of ’62 and their guests returned to ND for their 50th reunion on the weekend of October 12-13, some of whom had not been back on campus in 50 years!  They enjoyed a pre-football game cocktail party in the Holy Cross Center courtyard on Friday night and were brought out onto the field at halftime to be introduced.  They were also treated to perhaps the most exciting football win of the season with ND defeating Crespi 40-34 in quadruple overtime!  Saturday, a tour of campus was led by ND President Brett Lowart, followed by Mass in the Brothers’ Chapel and the catered reunion dinner.  Thank you to committee members Jim Adams, Steve Farley, Jim Nielsen and Mike Parker for coming onboard! 

Congrats to Jack Intlekofer who received the “Changed the Least Since ‘62” award at the reunion.

The Class of ’72 had a small informal gathering for their reunion on the night of August 24 before ND’s  season opener Knight football game against Serra High School. Those in attendance had a chance to catch up in a casual setting before the game, then enjoy the game itself.  This reunion was scheduled on the home opener weekend, which was unusually early this year.  Many of their classmates were unable to attend because of prior family commitments before the 2012-13 school year started.  If pictures say a thousand words, however, those who did make it appeared to have a genuinely great time!

The Class of ’82 had its 30-year reunion weekend on September 14-15.  Those in attendance on Friday night enjoyed pre-game pizza and beer in the Holy Cross Center courtyard. The reunion was held Saturday night at the Courtyard by Marriott in Sherman Oaks.  A number of Corvalis ladies also attended the festivities.  Veteran Denny Barrett once again was the mc, as he was 10 years ago at the 20th reunion, and by all accounts kept the gang laughing well into the night. Thanks to Mike Allegretti and Paul DeCunzo for being such responsible committee members.

The 20-year reunion celebration for the Class of 1992 was combined with the annual post-Homecoming game alumni social in the cafeteria.  Many from the Class of ’92 attended the ND vs. Loyola game and the post-game event, as well as their reunion the following evening at the Courtyard by Marriott in Sherman Oaks.  Over 90 were in attendance and from all indications, had a terrific time catching up.  Former faculty member Pete Cassidy was the hit of the evening with many of his former students anxious to chat with him.  Thanks to Shannon (Tuttle) Genova  for her follow up with classmates in making this a very successful reunion.

The Class of 2001 held its 10-year reunion on Homecoming weekend, November 5, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Sherman Oaks.  Many alums also enjoyed the annual post-Homecoming game Alumni social the night before on the ND campus.  According to Class President Christine Aquino, those who attended had a great time and are already talking about their 20th!
