Coach Ann McClung

Coach Ann McClung graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Physical Education/Coaching. After teaching PE and coaching swimming/diving and tennis at her old high school she took off for California in 1979.

Coach McClung started at ND in 1985 teaching PE and coaching volleyball and softball. Her volleyball teams won back to back league titles in 1990 and 1991 and her softball teams won 2 league titles (1988 and 1989). She was the first girls' soccer coach in 1988-1989 and also coached boys and girls tennis and swimming.

In 2006 she took over the already successful girls' golf team (which began in 1999) and created a team mentality to an individual sport. Her two favorite sayings are Talent wins matches-Teamwork wins Championships and Attitude is Everything.

When Coach McClung isn't attending a Notre Dame event in her role as Dean of Women she is playing golf or tennis, working out, going to the beach or shopping.
