A year after twice defeating Harvard Westlake in league play, the
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame Knights' girls volleyball squad will look to
upset the highly-touted Wolverines in the first matchup of the season
between the two teams on Thursday night.
The Knights and Wolverines have developed a long-standing rivalry on
the volleyball court, and to add luster to this year's matchup, the
Wolverines enter Thursday's contest as the No. 4 ranked team in the
state and the No. 22 ranked team in the country, according to MaxPreps.com.
The Knights are ranked No. 54 in the state and are coming off of two consecutive wins.
Thursday's match will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame High School.
