Season Recap and Mission League Prelims

 
The last few weeks have been very busy and successful for the Varsity Knights.  We won four tournaments, beginning with the Mission League Mid-Season tournament, followed by the Optimist Tournament, Ayala Tournament, and finally the Mission League Prelims held at Soule Park in Ojai on Monday October 15th.  As a team we finished undefeated in league play for the 4th consecutive year.  Seniors Tina Nagai and Arielle Valdez have never lost a league match.  Now we move on to CIF competition.  Monday October 22nd we go back to Soule Park to defend our CIF Championship for the Northern Division of the Southern Section.

Arielle and Tina are joined by junior Katelyn Reynolds, who won the Optimist Tournament and is the reigning Mission League MVP, sophomores Sammy Winchester, Janet Yeo and Lauren Crittenden. All 6 of our girls qualified for the Mission League finals, which will be held Thursday at the challenging TPC Valencia Golf Course.  Although we can only take 6 golfers into the CIF season, fellow teammates Vivian Markel, Kathryn Newton, Paige Hollingsworth and Alyssa Buzzello contributed a great deal to the overall success of the  2012 season.
