LIST OF ACADEMIC AND ELECTIVE COURSES FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 9-12
The Summer Knights Schedule of Classes for students entering grades nine through twelve was designed to create additional opportunities and provide greater flexibility for students as they begin planning their courses for the 2017 - 18 school year. Students may enroll in an academic or elective summer course that is equivalent to either a semester (5 credits) or yearlong course (10 credits.) There are courses designed for students to explore areas of interest beyond those offered during the school year, such as Child and Adolescent Development and Women's Studies, as well as those that may be taken to satisfy a graduation requirement such as Introduction to Computing in a Digital World, Recreational Sports, and a number of UC and CSU approved visual and performing arts courses. There are opportunities for high achieving students to accelerate in our math program with courses like Honors Geometry and Honors Precalculus, and opportunities for students to remediate a course in which they may have earned a low grade (D or F). There are also special workshops and online programs designed to help rising seniors get a jumpstart on their college applications and essays, and learn more about applying to film school. There is truly something for everyone; take a look!
