Athletic Summer Conditioning, Tryouts & Training 2017


Coach Dill
Baseball camp/conditioning for all incoming Freshmen will be held June 5 - June 9, 4-6:00 PM. We will be evaluating ability and place selected students on a summer team to compete against other schools.

Coach Gross
Summer team tryouts are June 19, 20, & 21 (M, T, W) from 4:30-6:30 PM. Tryouts will determine which players will be playing with the Varsity & JV for the remainder of the Summer (and possibly for the Winter). Practices and games will run from M-F at an assigned time after 1pm. Summer Basketball runs from June 19-July 29. 

CROSS COUNTRY, boys and girls

Coach Olson
Parent and athlete meeting for all interested families is Monday, June 19 at 6:30 PM in the lecture hall.
Conditioning begins Wednesday, June 21 from 4:00-6:00 PM at ND. The summer schedule will be:
Monday/Wednesdays at ND 4:00-6:00 PM (weight training + run) & Tuesday/Thursdays 8:30 AM-10:00 at local parks. Team summer Training Camp August 1– August 4 at Pt Mugu State Park. Saturday workouts and special events will be detailed at the team meeting June 19.

JV/V Summer conditioning begins Monday, June 19 & goes through July 20th, Monday-Thursday 2:00-6:00pm.
Incoming Freshmen: 9th grade football will run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-3:00 PM, June 19-July 20.
Best time for vacation: May 26-June 18th & July 21-30th.
Practice will begin with double-session practices starting on Monday, July 31 2017.

You should be taking individual lessons and playing as much as possible on your own in June/July. There may be a few team practices scheduled. A required team boot camp takes place the last week of July. We will bond as a team, playing courses we will see during CIF competition.

Friday, May 5 at 3:00PM-Tryouts for current JV players and anyone new who is interested in joining the team.
Tryouts for incoming Freshmen will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2 PM. Those who have made the Girls Tennis team will begin practice and conditioning, Monday July 17, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 7:30-9:00 AM. Practice will continue weekdays throughout the rest of the summer.


Coach Diaz
Mandatory tryout dates are: Monday, July 10 2:30-4:30 PM & Tuesday, July 11 2:30-4:30 PM. Athletes should be at tryouts both days.
For those who make first cuts, conditioning dates are July 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 Frosh/JV: 2:30-4:30 PM & Varsity: 6:30-8:30 PM
The week of July 24-July 28 practice days/times TBD.
July 31-August 2: Frosh/JV: 2:30-4:30 PM and Varsity: 4:30-6:30 PM. Daily in-season practices begin Monday, August 7.


Practice will begin June 19.
F/JV/V Conditioning & practice is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday from 7:00 am-11:00 am for all levels. If you have summer school, come at 7 and stay til you have to leave for school.
Saturday practices are TBA.
The best time to take your summer vacation is July 16 - August 6. In season practice will resume August 7, time TBD.

Coach Hirn,,will be taking over the boys water polo coach this year. He's been coaching swim and water polo for 26 years.


Coach Hirn
Summer conditioning and practice for girls water polo will be Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, June 13 thru June 22 from 6:30-8:30 PM. The time will change to 5:00-7:00 PM, June 27-July 27 with practice days remaining T, W, TH . Some weekend tournaments TBA. (all levels)
