Here is Mariah's interview from CIF Finals.

Dear Cross Country Families,

I am so honored and excited to begin this season as the head coach of Notre Dame cross country program. Being welcomed into the NDXC family last season was such a wonderful experience as a coach. The program and families have a solid foundation that we will continue to build upon.

It is with so much joy that I share my passion for running with young runners. I ran both cross country and track all four years of high school and two years into my college career which included 2 NAIA All American titles. After I completed my degree in Exercise & Sport Science, my career in fitness quickly took me to San Diego where I became a director of a very well respected fitness and health residential program for teens. Personally, I currently train for Ultra Marathon distance running events. I completed two 50 mile events this last year and am currently training for my first 100km race. Ultra-Training has connected me so deeply with my running and has become so life changing in the way I view the sport and connect the discipline to all aspects of life. My true passion in running I have found is how the skill, mental, emotional fortitude transfer to all life situations. This is something I greatly look forward to instilling in the young athletes at Notre Dame.

I look forward to being able to grow the legacy of the NDXC program by bringing my love for the sport of running, my knowledge of health and fitness, and my years of leadership and youth development back to Notre Dame this season and many to come.
