Valerie Pantell earned a B.A. at UCLA with a major in Psychology, and went on to earn a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University. While teaching 6th and 7th grades at St. Mel Catholic Elementary School for 10 years, Valerie did coursework at National University and obtained a K-12 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Val started at Notre Dame High School in 2005 as a Psychology and World History teacher, and joined the counseling department in 2007. Since 2007, Ms. Pantell shares her passion for learning as a coach of the Notre Dame Academic Decathlon team, and is in charge of the California Scholarship Foundation (CSF).
Val is a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC)
