The
CSU application requires that you use your social security number for
identification purposes so have it handy. It is listed on most transcripts. Be
certain that it is correct before you begin.
·
You
will be asked to “self-report” your academic grades so be sure to have a
transcript handy that lists 6 semesters, from freshman through junior year,
grades. You
·
The
first area of self-reported grades that you will complete is social sciences.
The first social science at Notre Dame for most students begins in tenth grade
with either World Civilization or AP European History. Click on the social
science bar and it will direct you to a new page of pull down options.
·
The
year you took each class is listed on your transcript. Be sure to pull down the
correct year. You will be asked to describe the way the course was graded such
as two semesters for a year long course. Please decide appropriately.
·
Choose
the grade that corresponds with each semester and list it accurately. If you
self report a higher grade, you will be denied admission when the transcript is
received by the college. If you list a grade lower than your actual grade, it
is difficult to correct it once the application is submitted.
·
Report
senior year classes. For each semester you will have the option to list it as
“in progress” or “planned.” Please choose accurately.
·
Continue
to add grades until every academic course is noted.
·
Please
note:
9th
grade World Geography is not an academic class.
12
grade Economics can be found under “g electives” on the second page of
self-reported grades.
For
grades that were made up in summer school: add the D or F in the semester
pulldown and right beneath, pulldown summer school and insert the made-up
grade.
For
D and F classes that are in the process of being made up now (i.e. online
courses or concurrent community college courses) insert your semester grade and
right beneath choose summer school, “in progress.” This allows the college(s)
to know you are making up the grade now.
