Notre Dame Wins Final Home Game of the Season!
May 11, 2010 - Knights won behind a complete game by RHP Matt Lathuras (9 hits, 5K's, 2 BB) today against St. Francis, 9-5 in the final home game of the regular season.

Last game of the season is against St. Francis this Thursday, May 13, at Brookside Park, 3:15 pm.

Knights Win Double Header on Saturday!
May 8, 2010 - Behind the arms of young pitching, the Knights took both games of a double header at West Covina Saturday afternoon by the score of 4-2 in the first and 11-6 in the second.

Knights Lose to Chaminade Eagles
May 4, 2010 - The Knights lost at home today, verses Chaminade Eagles, by a score of 11-2.

Freshman Jack Hartman Pitches a Complete Game
April 29, 2010 - On a day when a hard, harsh wind blew dirt across the diamond all afternoon, the two starting pitchers, Ryan Brockett for Crespi and Jack Hartman for Notre Dame, both finished what they started. Unfortunately only one could be tagged the winner.  Crespi won the game 5-2.

Notre Dame Fights Hard Against the Crespi Celts
April 27, 2010 - The Notre Dame Knights lost a classic battle with Crespi Tuesday night, 10-7.
The Knights will take on the Celts again at Valley College, this Thursday, April 29, at 3:45 pm.

Friday Night Win for the Knights Over Alemany!
April 23, 2010 - The Knights recorded a split with the Warriors in Mission League play with a 4-1 win.
Next up, the Knights take on the Crespi Celts at Birmingham High School on Tuesday night, April 27, at 7:00 pm.

Knights Lose to Alemany
April 20, 2010 - After a home field rain delay the ND Varsity squad lost to Alemany by the score of 7-2. 
The Knights' next game is an away game against Alemany at Birmingham High School on Friday, April 23, 7:00 pm.

Knights Drop 2 to Harvard Westlake
April 16, 2010 - The Knights dropped the second of two this week with Harvard Westlake, 13-0, at home on Friday afternoon.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, the team lost at Mid-Valley to the Wolverines, 9-5.

Knights Lose Against Santa Monica High School

April 7, 2010 - The Knights (7-8) lose 4-3 today at Stengel Field vs. Santa Monica H.S.
Notre Dame: 3 runs on 5 hits, 2 errors.  Santa Monica HS: 4 runs on 6 hits, 1 error.

Notre Dame Captures First Win in the Babe Herman Tournament

April 3, 2010 - The Knights (7-5) win 10-2 in their first game of the Babe Herman Tournament at Stengel Field v.s Agoura H.S. today.
Notre Dame: 10 runs on 13 hits, 1 error. Agoura HS: 2 runs on 11 hits, 3 errors

Knights Lose to Camarillo
April 1, 2010 - The Knights (6-5) lost to Camarillo today, 16-7.
Notre Dame: 7 runs on 12 hits, 3 errors. Camarillo HS: 16 runs on 12 hits, 1 error.

Knights Lose to St. Paul at Home
March 24, 2010 - The Knights (6-4) played a "closer than it looks" non league game at home verses St. Paul today, but ultimately lost 10-3 when St. Paul broke it open in the 6th.

Knights Win Double Header
March 20, 2010 - After defeating Loyola at home Friday afternoon (8-7), the Knights of Notre Dame won both games of a double header verses Canyon at home on Saturday, the first 6-5 and the second 9-4.

Knights Fall Short at Mission League Opener
March 16, 2010 - Tight game at Loyola. One bad inning for the Knights when the Cubs scored all four of their runs.

Southern California Invitational Tournament Wrap-Up
March 13, 2010 - Knights won 4-3 to finish 3-2 in the So. Cal. Invitational Tournament.
League play begins Tuesday, March 16, at Loyola, 3:15 pm.

Knights Win Varsity Home Opener!
March 10, 2010 - Knights Varsity (1-2) won this home opener against Burbank 16-8 on 16 hits.

Knights Pitching Off to a Strong Start in 2010
March 8, 2010 - The 2010 Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks Knights Varsity team lost its second game of the young season in a squeaker at Culver City High School today.

Baseball 2009 Season Re-cap
The Baseball Knights finished the season winning the Mission League outright for the first time since 1994!  With an overall record of 23-6 and 10-2 in the Mission League, the Knights had many bright spots.  Fourteen players on this year's team hit over .300 with Ranny Lowe '09 and Casey Ryan '09 both hitting over .400.  Kelly Dugan '09, who was drafted and signed by the Philadelphia Phillies organization, lead the team with eight homeruns and pitcher Josh Goossen-Brown '09 lead the team with 10 wins.

Knights win 5-1 to capture Mission League
The Knights won the Mission League today in defeating Loyola 5-1 @ Loyola
for second time this week. The team went 10-2 in league and 22-5 overall in
regular season play.

Boys Baseball wins CIF Championship

2008 CIF and State Champions

The Knights baseball program is still flying high following their best season in Notre Dame history. The Knights captured the CIF title at Dodger Stadium, defeating South Hills High School 4-2. To add to the success of the team, Cal Hi Sports named the Notre Dame Baseball Team “State Team of the Year.” The Knights came out of the gates strong in 2008, winning their first 10 games in a row. The Knights won the “Southern California Invitational Tournament” with strong teams represented such as City Champions- Chatsworth High School. They posted a 10-2 mission league record and ran the table at the Division 3 playoffs, culminating with the championship game at Dodger Stadium. The Knights finished with a record of 27-4, which helped them finish at #1 in the State and #8 in the Nation, according to the ESPN High School National Baseball poll. Notre Dame had several players receiving awards in 2008. LHP - Nik Rodarte made all-league as well as MVP of the Mission League, was the CIF co-player of the year, and made the All-State Team. He posted an 11-1 record and was the winning pitcher at the CIF Final game. DH- Kelly Dugan was selected to the all-league team and also received all-CIF honors. 3B - Trevor Gee (Loyola Marymount), LF - Nick LaFace, and C – Hayden Hunter (Wagner College) also received all-mission league honors.

The Knights are very hopeful of another great season in 2009. They return many of their starters, lead by Seniors – Kelly Dugan, Nick LaFace, Ranny Lowe, Casey Ryan, Pedro Aldape, Josh Goossen-Brown, and Tim Reigel. The Knights should have a strong pitching staff with Juniors David Armendariz and Eric Walbridge and Seniors Josh Goossen-Brown and Pedro Aldape. The Knights are looking forward to another competitive mission league schedule and are trying to defend the Southern California Invitational title. The Knights are also competing in their first “National Classic” which hosts some of the best teams in the country, competing for bragging rights and the top spot in the national polls. The Knights have had two seniors commit to colleges, Kelly Dugan (Pepperdine) and Ranny Lowe (Pepperdine). We are expecting several more commitments before the beginning of the season.

Notre Dame has 3 teams: Varsity, JV and Freshman. The tryouts for the Freshman Team begin in at the end of January, during the first week of the second semester. Notre Dame plays a steady Fall/Winter schedule, beginning Saturday, November 15th and continuing every Saturday until the start of the season in February. At this time the Players that are not participating in another sport are working out with weights (sport and position-specific training), under the supervision of Coach Nick Garcia. The players are also practicing on Blue Days (every other day) for a period of 90 minutes. Come on out and watch the Knights play as they try to repeat as the 2009 CIF Champions.
