We are excited to welcome Kimberly Wolf, author of Talk with Her: A Dad’s Essential Guide to Raising Healthy, Confident, and Capable Daughters (Penguin 2022), for this Q&A.

President Laganà will interview Mrs. Wolf on a variety of topics, including the research about the dynamic roles fathers and father figures play in young women’s development, how to communicate with and build bonds with young women in the pre-teen and teen years, raising grounded young women in Los Angeles, and how to prepare for key conversations that can boost young women’s well-being and achievement.

All parents are welcome to join what promises to be a lively and insightful one-hour (question and answer format) discussion focused on fathers and daughters.

About Our Guest

Kimberly Wolf, M.Ed., is an educator, speaker, educational strategist, and curriculum designer. She holds an undergraduate degree in gender studies from Brown University and a master’s degree in human development and psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has worked at the intersection of education, technology, and entertainment for almost two decades, bringing thousands of young people the information and strategies they need to optimize their well-being, strengthen their relationships, and fuel their achievement.

Media literacy and healthy relationship education have long been two areas of her focus. But, fifteen years into her career, through conversations with friends, colleagues, and collaborators who were fathers of daughters, Kimberly realized she was in a unique position to demystify girlhood for dads, helping them communicate better with their daughters, maximize their parental impact, and inspire young women to reach their potential.

Her work and perspectives have been featured by outlets including NPR, Forbes, and CNBC. Talk with Her: A Dad’s Essential Guide to Raising Healthy, Confident, and Capable Daughters, released by Penguin, is her first book.

If you want to purchase her book, please contact Diesel Bookstore at the Brentwood Country Mart (310) 576-9960).
The President’s Speaker Series brings together our school, our students, and the broader Notre Dame community with some of the most influential thought leaders.

Join us for an evening interview session led by Notre Dame’s CEO & President, Sam Laganà. These are open to members of the ND community on various topics of interest at no charge.

We hope you join us.
