Coaches Message

The Notre Dame High School football program has a very proud and successful tradition. Over the past 23 years, Notre Dame has won 15 league championships and has played in seven CIF Championship games, winning four. More importantly, the young men involved in the Notre Dame football program learn the value of a positive attitude, strong work ethic, unselfishness, civility, teamwork, overcoming adversity, loyalty, honor, and humility.

Joe McNab named Head Varsity Football Coach

Notre Dame High School is pleased to announce that Joe McNab has been named Head Varsity Football Coach. Nearly 100 extremely qualified applicants were considered for this important position. McNab will head a program with a long history of excellence. 
 
Coach McNab has served as defensive coordinator for the past 39 years and also been the Head Track and Field Coach. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University and has a masters degree from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to being a coach, he has taught many courses throughout his 39 years at Notre Dame and has been an integral part of the summer sports camp program. 

“Throughout this search, it always came back to Coach McNab. He is a wonderful coach who cares deeply for his players and for Notre Dame. He has many of the qualities that we were looking for in our next head football coach including a work ethic that is second to none. I am so happy that Coach McNab will be guiding our student-athletes on Friday nights because I know we will be prepared and ready each and every night we take the field,” said Alec Moss, Notre Dame Athletic Director.
