Freshman Friendship, Resilience & Holy Cross Heritage Retreat
Led by senior members of the Christian Leadership Class and Faculty Volunteers this is a fun-filled day that gives students the opportunity to self-reflect, form new friendships, set goals for the upcoming year, and pray with fellow students. This retreat will give students an understanding of our Holy Cross Heritage and challenge them to take ownership of their high school journey. Transitioning from junior high school into high school can be an overwhelming process. This retreat gives freshmen the space and time to nurture their heart as well as their minds.
There are a total of three retreat days. The retreat takes place during the regular course of the school day. Attendees are determined alphabetically by last name. Buses depart the ND campus at 7:45 a.m. and return by 3:00 p.m. This retreat is mandatory of all Freshmen students, so teachers understand students will miss class for this day. Students do not need to bring anything with them, as all food and supplies will be provided. If a student has a special dietary need, please inform the CM Office. Students may wear appropriate non-uniform dress.
The Freshmen Retreat dates are determined alphabetically by last names. Permission slips and informational letters will be distributed to students in their Religious Studies classes during December.
Dates: Each student’s retreat date is pre-determined, according to their religion class.
