Junior Retreat - L.A. Immersion Experience

Immersion is a retreat specifically geared for those in the junior class, which gives students an opportunity to better understand the Catholic missionary spirit of Blessed Father Moreau and the Congregation of Holy Cross by fully immersing themselves in a commitment to social justice activities.  This is a three-day experience, which starts on a Wednesday and ends on a Friday afternoon. Due to COVID, we will not be having an overnight experience. Instead, students will come to campus and will need to be picked up at the end of each day we are on retreat. Students do not report to class these three days, instead, they are actively participating in educating themselves on various social justice topics that are pertinent to our Los Angeles community and learning ways to live out that advocacy.  This year, we will be hosting 6 of these retreats. The cost to attend this retreat will be $200, which covers transportation, materials, and meals. Students who actively participate throughout the entire retreat will receive all their Christian Service hours for their junior year. All students were given the link to sign up if they are still interested in attending.

Please have your child sign up by using the link below. We highly encourage students to attend over the summer, especially if your child is going to be busy over the school year with AP Exams, Sports, or any other extracurricular activities. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Presley at

Sophomore Respect, Responsibility, & Empowerment Retreat

This single-sex retreat is specifically tailored for sophomores and enables students to evaluate an array of moral decisions relevant to being a teenager while connecting to the responsibility of living a Christian lifestyle. Boys and girls are separated so that they may have a safe place in which to reflect upon issues that are specific to their adolescent experience. Parents are invited and encouraged to discuss this retreat with their child(ren).

Date: February 5, 2022

Retreat will be in-person on the NDHS campus.

Freshman Friendship, Resilience & Holy Cross Heritage Retreat

Led by senior members of the Christian Leadership Class and Faculty Volunteers this is a fun-filled day that gives students the opportunity to self-reflect, form new friendships, set goals for the upcoming year, and pray with fellow students. This retreat will give students an understanding of our Holy Cross Heritage and challenge them to take ownership of their high school journey. Transitioning from junior high school into high school can be an overwhelming process. This retreat gives freshmen the space and time to nurture their heart as well as their minds.
