  • Joe Allegretti, Jr. '82

The son of Helen and Joe Allegretti, Sr. ’56, Joe and siblings Mike ’82, Maura ’90 and Jim ’92 attended ND while their father Joe Sr. was the President of the NDHS Board of Directors and pioneering the future of the school with a co-education. Joe Sr. was the first recipient of the Knight of Honor award in 2000. Joe graduated from Santa Clara University where he met his wife Kelly. He returned to the Valley to work for Allegretti and Company and started a family with Kelly. Their children Adrianna ’07, Anthony ’10, and Melanie ’12 were third generation Allegretti graduates of ND. Joe served for 10 years on the NDHS Board of Directors 2007-16, the final two years as Chairman. During his Board tenure the Br. Robert Hampton, CSC, Science Center was completed and many improvements that were part of the Light the Way campaign (2010-16) were achieved. He still serves on the school’s Board Planning Committee, which has recently completed a new master plan for future capital improvements. Joe has continued his father’s legacy of ND leadership, vision and support and has left his own personal fingerprints on the school’s 21st-century success.
  • Rob Thomas

Rob has been a teacher, coach, athletic trainer, sound/tech director, ASB Director, administrator and parent for the past 38 years. Rob's contributions are countless and the time he has spent at ND in service to our students is probably unmatched by anyone. His dedication and loyalty to ND is legendary. A special note of gratitude to Rob's wife Midge and son Luke '17 for sharing their husband/father with ND for all these years.
  • Stubblefield Family

Richard and Colleen Stubblefield, along with their 6 young children, moved to California in 1964 to a house on Woodman Avenue directly across the street from Notre Dame. They enrolled their three boys, Barry ’74, Rick ’75, and Greg ’77 in ND where they were very active student-athletes. All three later graduated from UC schools. During the boys’ years at Notre Dame Colleen was a leader of the Altar Society and a team mother while Richard was a stalwart volunteer with the Men’s Club. Both volunteered each year at the Notre Dame carnival, the school’s big fundraiser at the time. The three Stubblefield girls, Denise, Molly, and Maggie, attended local all-girls Catholic schools yet spent a lot of time at Notre Dame attending sporting events and dances. As parents, Maggie and her husband Karl enrolled their children Lea ’13 and Kaven as next-generation siblings. Lea was active in Dance Flags and Kaven in the ND Irish Knight Band. Molly and her husband Bryan enrolled their son Raymond ’14 who was an active student-athlete and a four-year football letter. In 2013 Richard and Greg Stubblefield contributed a naming gift for the renovation of the school library, the Barry Stubblefield Library, in memory of their deceased brother who died tragically in a skiing accident in 2005. In 2017-18 the Stubblefield brothers led a critical fundraising effort for new turf, track and lights at the ND stadium inspired by their fond memories of marching onto the football field alongside their teammates while the band played ‘Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame…’
  • Greenfield Family

Phil and Kathy Greenfield enrolled seven boys (Jeff '79, Dave '80, James '82, Bob '85, Brian '87, Mike '90, Matt '92), more children/boys than any other family on record. Their boys participated in numerous sports (two or more each per year), excelling at many of them. Phil and Kathy attended more than 1,000 ND games, debates, plays, musicals, and student government events and were fixtures at ND for two decades. Kathy was a leader in the Altar Society (later the Holy Cross Mothers Guild) and chaired several fashion shows. Phil was similarly a leader in the Men’s Club (later the Athletic Boosters). Kathy passed away in 2016 and will be recognized posthumously. The Greenfield boys established an ND endowed scholarship fund in 2014 in honor of their parents and contribute annually to it continuing the family tradition of support and love for ND.
