It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the Notre Dame men's soccer program. As always, we have two major goals. First, to help our student athletes achieve their educational goals, and second, to play competitive soccer. At NDHS, we understand that long after the drama of victory and defeat have been forgotten, your education has not.
With that in mind, we continually strive to emphasize the importance of education to our student athletes. We have been fortunate to have many of our student athletes continue their education at four year institutions. Here are just a few recent soccer graduates that moved on to four-year institutions. Eric Solis ’10 University of Oregon, Dylan Pritchard ’12 Boston College, Nico Chavando ’13 Stanford, Mitchell McVeigh ’13 University of Pennsylvania, Connor and Rory Smith ’14 University of California Berkley, Sam Lee ’14 UCLA, Mathew Marcelino ’14 Vassar, Lucas Alfonso ’14 Chapman, Scott Mardquet ’14 Grove City College, Michael Lusczcak ’14 University of Santa Cruz, Carlos Alcocer ’15 Cornell University, Noah Bogner ’16 University of California Berkley and Jesse Fitzgerald ’16 University of Washington. We sincerely hope that this year's team can continue in this great tradition.
I would also like to thank all of the student athletes who have taken pride in representing the Notre Dame Knights soccer program's existence. They have all shown class on and off the playing field. May they always achieve their goals.
We hope to see you out on the pitch.
