Mr. Garrett Arii joined the Notre Dame family in 2021. As an undergrad, Mr. Arii attended California State University, Northridge, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Family Studies. He began his work in College Counseling as an undergraduate at CSUN while working for a nonprofit organization for close to 10 years serving underserved and underrepresented communities in the San Fernando Valley on their journey to and through college. Mr. Arii’s passion for working with students led him to graduate school, where he earned a Master of Science in Educational Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of La Verne. When not in the office, Mr. Arii is often found at the movies, at Disneyland, or watching his favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mr. Arii is a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
