Muno Earns Gold in Belgium

Former four-sport Notre Dame High School athlete, Zana Muno took home the Gold with her partner Crissy Jones in Belgium in their World Tour debut. The pair entered the Leuven qualifier as a 10 seed, and won three straight to finish with the highest honor.

 

In her first international match, Muno defeated a pair from the United States 21-10, 21-16, and then beat a pair from Spain, 21-15, 21-13, making the American duo just one of four qualifier teams to make the semifinals.

 

 The tandem then faced a pair from Germany, 17-21, 21-11, 18-16, qualifying for their first international main draw as a team.

 

Muno, a 2015 Knight graduate, played volleyball, beach volleyball, soccer and ran track during her tenure at Notre Dame.
