Spirit Week

Spirit Week and Homecoming are coming up soon, so to answer some questions you might have, here is some basic information that you will find helpful.

First, guests will be allowed to attend the Homecoming Dance, but:
  • If you are going to bring a guest from another school, you must fill out the Google Homecoming Dance Pass and upload either proof of vaccination for your guest or upload a negative Covid-19 test result taken within 72 hours of the Homecoming Dance. Guests who do not comply with the requirement will not be allowed to attend the Homecoming Dance, refunds will not be given.
Tickets for out-of-school guests will only be sold from Monday, October 18th through Thursday, October 28th, so if you plan to ask someone from another school do it early and buy your tickets early.
 
Spirit Week

Spirit Week "Knights in Wonderland" begins on Monday, October 25, 2021, and continues through the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 30. During the week, students are invited to dress in the theme of the day, based on a variety of Alice in Wonderland themes. Students not dressed in the theme of the day must be in full uniform.
  • Monday, October 25: Mad Hatter Monday - Students wear mismatched clothing.
  • Tuesday, October 26: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Tuesday - twin day – dress like 1, 2, or more of your friends.
  • Wednesday, October 27: It was all a Dream Wednesday - Wear your pajamas to school.
  • Thursday, October 28: Halloween Dress Day and Contest - Wear your Halloween costume to school - Costume Contest at lunch.
  • Friday, October 29: Class Color Day: Wear clothing that matches your class color.
    • Seniors: navy blue
    • Juniors: gold
    • Sophomores: black
    • Freshman: white

“A Knight in Wonderland" Homecoming Dance

The Class of 2022 invites all students to an exciting evening at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 8 - 11 p.m. in the Notre Dame Quad. Tickets for the dance go on sale Monday, October 18 on GoFan.com thru Thursday, October 28th. The cost is $80 per couple or $40 for a single. After October 28th tickets will only be available to Notre Dame students, students will not be able to purchase tickets for guests after that time.
  • Notre Dame students who are unvaccinated must have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the Homecoming Dance. Unvaccinated Notre Dame students will not be allowed to attend the Homecoming Dance without a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the Homecoming Dance. No refunds will be given.
  • Students bringing a guest from another school must complete the Google Form Dance Pass by Thursday, October 18, 2021. The Google Form will be sent directly to your email. This form should also include an upload from their Notre Dame student Gmail account of either:
  1. A copy of the guest’s COVID-19 vaccination card showing the student is fully vaccinated, meaning two weeks have passed since the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the first dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
  2. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of the Homecoming Dance.

Guests without proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the dance will not be allowed to attend the Homecoming Dance. No refunds will be given.


Dress Code for Homecoming Dance


The attire for the dance is semi-formal. Please see below for more specific information about the dress code. Dance information is available on the school website.

Women:
  • Dresses are to be semi-formal
  • All necklines must be modest. Dresses may have spaghetti straps, halter-type tops, or be strapless, as long as they do not have plunging necklines that go below the bust line.
  • The dress must not be shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
  • Dresses that are laced together in the front cannot reveal bare skin under the lacings.
  • The back of the dress may not be cut below the waistline.
 
Men:
  • Dress pants are to be fitted to the waist and worn with a belt. Dress shoes and a collared dress shirt are required.
  • A tie is required; a jacket is optional.
  • A collared dress shirt and tie must be buttoned and worn the entire dance.

Parents, please note that the dress code will be enforced. If you have a student bringing a date from another school, this information should be shared with that person and the Notre Dame student is responsible for the guest’s attire. If the administration feels clothing is not appropriate, students will be turned away from the dance even if a bid has been purchased. No refunds will be given.
