Maceo joins our counseling team with more than 15 years in academic, college and career counseling at private, charter and public schools throughout Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Houston. He has also served as a math teacher, ACT/SAT instructor/tutor, and the director of several non-profit organizations. After attending Georgetown Preparatory School, he earned his B.A. in East Asian Studies at the University of Virginia, with a concentration in Japanese and a minor in Sociology. He was an MFA candidate at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and earned a Masters of Education in Urban Educational Leadership from California University at Dominguez Hills. Maceo studied abroad in Morocco as the recipient of a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship through UCLA’s Center for African Studies, and participated in an intercultural exchange program in East Kalimantan, Indonesia through the American Field Service. We are thrilled to have him join our counseling team this year.
