Why Choose Notre Dame

Since 1947, Notre Dame High School has educated diverse students from varied socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

For over 75 years, at the corner of Riverside and Woodman, Notre Dame High School has been the center of Holy Cross education for generations of students in the San Fernando Valley and in the City of Angels.

Notre Dame High School has educated diverse students from different socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

Our physical campus has grown and changed over the past several decades, as has our curriculum, co-curricular programs, and athletics, but our dedication to our mission of educating hearts and minds while preparing students for colleges and universities has never wavered.

This mission has made Notre Dame the school of choice for top academics, arts, and athletics.

Our faculty 75 years ago consisted of a handful of Holy Cross Brothers and is now a large diverse group that even includes many Notre Dame alumni.

We just celebrated our 75th anniversary and honored our past, come join us as we continue to build our community of students, alumni, and friends. Help us to move forward to a bright future!

Notre Dame aims to promote an active interest in the well-being of others, understanding, and acceptance of diverse cultures, and an awareness of the responsibilities of citizenship.

We seek a curriculum that meets the highest standards of accreditation and society, preparing students for college and post-secondary pursuits, and which fully develops students' skills for communication and critical thinking.

We strive to give students a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic faith, a respect for the value of the individual, and the experience of a faith community, lived out through the liturgy, prayer, and service.

Notre Dame seeks to mold students who value themselves and others, who apply gospel values in moral decision-making, who have a strong aesthetic sense, and who exhibit self-discipline and a cooperative spirit.
