In an effort to serve our community, Notre Dame High School (NDHS) is fortunate to be staffed daily with outstanding Counseling and Campus Ministry professionals who are ready to assist students that may desire on-campus support during the school day. NDHS faculty and staff are offered Counseling and Campus Ministry support through our Human Resources & Wellness office.
As we previously reported, Notre Dame High School is cooperating with the LAPD regarding the teacher who was taken into custody at approximately 10:00 am on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Today the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released information related to the arrest of that individual, Jason Bissell, regarding an alleged inappropriate relationship with a minor, which is posted on their website. Anyone who may have information relevant to the matter may contact LAPD Detective M. Lambarth (Badge number #37245 in the Juvenile Division at Van Nuys Station) at 818-374-5418 or via his email at email@example.com.
Notre Dame places a high priority on the safety of our students and school community. As soon as the LAPD notified Notre Dame of the arrest and allegations, the school placed the employee on an administrative leave. The employee in question has been employed at Notre Dame for 15 years and for the past year and four months had been on a personal leave of absence from teaching.
Notre Dame cannot provide any additional information as this is a personnel matter.
Please join the Notre Dame High School community in praying for all persons who are impacted.
