In Memoriam | Mr. Gamble

Dear Notre Dame Community,
 
We are writing to you this evening to share some very sad news.
 
Mr. Bill Gamble, a long-standing member of our faculty who has taught in the math department for thirty-four years and has taught many of you, passed away unexpectedly this morning due to complications from a medical procedure. There are no words to express the sadness and shock that many of you and we may be feeling.
 
We will have a school-wide Mass for the whole school community on Wednesday. 
 
Mr. Gamble dedicated thirty-four years to educating hearts and minds here at Notre Dame and often remarked how much he loved teaching students. His loss is felt deeply throughout our community.
 
In keeping with our Catholic tradition, we pray, Eternal Rest Grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
