Peter and the Starcatcher wins First Place!

This weekend the ND Theatre Department traveled to Rancho Cucamonga to remount their full production of Peter and the Starcatcher as part of the CETA High School Theatre Festival after winning First Place in Area 1 of the competition in December. Following their thrilling performance in front of 1,000 excited theatre students and a fun-filled weekend of plays and workshops, we are proud to announce festival-wide wins for Oliver Cooney as Best Leading Performance in his role of Black Stache and Lake Merritt as Best Supporting Performance in their role of Smee. Under the guidance and direction of Mr. Wollman, Notre Dame’s play, ‘Peter and the Starcatcher' won first place in our region and Notre Dame has been invited to perform at the festival.

The festival weekend offers a variety of opportunities that encourage artistic growth for students and teachers. These offerings include workshops led by industry professionals, adjudicated scene competitions, space for BIPOC students and educators, and scholarship opportunities.

The three-day Festival showcases four MainStage plays selected from four regions of Southern California: Los Angeles (Notre Dame!), Orange County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego County.

Our Festival celebrates spaces where Every California student will experience the highest standards of theatre arts education. #Knightlife
