Dear Notre Dame Families, I write to provide you with information for Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 24, from 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. Please ask your student to provide you with a copy of their class schedule, including class periods, room locations, and teachers’ names. Click here for a printable copy of the to assist you. Have your student label the map with class periods and room numbers so that you will know where each class is located, and then take a smartphone photograph of their schedule and the campus map so that both are readily available to you when you arrive on campus. Student schedules will not be printed out and available to parents at Back to School Night, so it is imperative that you have your child’s schedule, including classroom locations, with you when you arrive on campus. There is no registration or general meeting on Back-to-School Night; please report directly to your student’s 1st-period class, which begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. A series of bells and/or announcements will help you know when it is time to move on to periods 2-7. You are also encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Refills stations are available on campus and are indicated on the campus map. Emergency Testing System At the end of the evening, we will send a test message from the Blackboard Connect system, used by the school to notify you of emergencies and other special school events. The message will be sent out as an emergency message and will go to all of the contacts that you have listed on your myNDHS profile. Please understand that contact changes made less than 24 hours before the test will not be updated due to system requirements. So if you make any contact changes in your myNDHS profile, they need to be made before 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Parking As always, parking can be a challenge, so you are encouraged to allow ample time to find parking and arrive for the 6:30 p.m. start. For your convenience, parking is available in the Arons parking structure on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be mindful of the neighbors and their property if you park on the streets bordering the school. (The neighbors will contact parking enforcement and may have your vehicle towed.)
