Jessica Romero joined the Notre Dame High School community in the fall of 2017. Prior to Notre Dame, she worked with middle and high school students as a school counselor in the Los Angeles Unified School District and supported incoming college students at Los Angeles Pierce College through the application and enrollment process.
At Notre Dame, Jessica provides academic, college, and social-emotional counseling and is deeply committed to supporting student well-being. She introduced Notre Dame’s first mental health awareness club, Bring Change to Mind (BC2M)—a student-led initiative focused on reducing the stigma around mental health and fostering open, supportive dialogue. She also serves as a co-moderator of Avancemos, an affinity group that helps students build community through shared experiences and cultural connection.
Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphases in Finance and International Business from California State University, Northridge, and a Master’s degree in Education Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential from National University.
She is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the California Association of School Counselors (CASC), and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
